Ingredients,
Raw tomatoes - 2 ( chopped in big pieces)
Green chillies - 4
Asafoetida- a pinch
Mustard seeds- 1/4 tbsp
Cumin seeds- 1/4 tbsp
Salt- 1/4 tbsp
Oil - 2 tbsps
- Take a tbsp of oil in a pan,add green chillies and sauté them for a minute by closing a lid.( or else the green chillies will splutter everywhere)
- Take them out and then add tomatoes with the left oil in the same pan and sauté them till they are soft.
- Take them out and grind tomatoes and green chillies with salt to a coarse paste.(you can use a mortar and pestle for grinding)
- For tempering, take 1 tbsp of oil, add mustard seeds.As they splutter add cumin seeds and hing.
- Add this tempering to the prepared chutney.
- Serve hot with rice or Indian breads.
Saute green chillies with a tbsp of oil.
Cook Raw tomatoes till they are soft and
grind everything to a coarse paste with salt.
Add tempering to this.
