Baked wontons

Wontons are Chinese dumplings.These dumplings are either baked or fried in oil.these dumplings are made with all purpose four wrappers wrapped in sautéed filling.

Ingredients for filling of dumplings,       
Brussel sprouts-3 (finely chopped)or alternate with cabbage.
Red bell peppers-1/2 (long slit)
Tofu-8 to 10 pieces(small)
Olive oil-1 teaspoon
Soya sauce-1teaspoon
Thai chilli-1/2(chopped)

Ingredients for the dough,
All purpose flour-2 cups.
Salt-1/2 a teaspoon
Olive oil-1 teaspoon.
Water-1/4cup.


1. In a pan add all the veggies,add  olive oil and a teaspoon of say sauce and sautéed it for 2 minutes.place it a bowl .

2.take 2 cups of all purpose flour,add 1/2 teaspoon of salt ,1 teaspoon of olive oil and 1/4 cup of water to make it a dough.

3. Make small balls out of the dough and roll them into small round shapes.

4. Place the sautéed filling in the middle of the rolled small rounds of dough.

5.Lift one end of the circle and join it to the other end ,seal the dough and make ridges along the edges as shown in the pic below.


6.Preheat the oven to 400degree Fahrenheit .and bake for 15 minutes ,or until  the dumplings turn golden brown in color.

7. Serve with say sauce.If you want to spice it up ,add chopped green chillies in the say sauce for dipping.
