I am just amazed by the way these green chillies work in my kitchen.Sometimes when I add them makes food very spicy or sometimes it just adds to the taste.Still green chillies have a very substantial role in the kitchen.If we have to taste anything before cooking we usually taste them raw ,but these green chillies can only be tested after they are cooked,so any measure of green chillies in any kind of curry or any dish, got to try them out first with the other curries and then add them to this unique recipe.These fritters tried them out at my friends house,since then make them as much as possible.Even in festival days.
Ingredients for cabbage fritters,
Rice flour-1 cup
All purpose flour ( maida) - 1/2 cup
Besan - 1/4 cup
Salt -3/4 tbsp
Coriander - 1/4 cup ( chopped )
Ginger - 1 tbsp ( grated finely)
Green chillies- 4 -5 ( chopped finely)
Cabbage-1/2 cup(chopped)
Water - as much required to make batter
Oil- required to fry the fritters
- Mix rice flour,maida,besan and ginger ,green chilles and the coriander leaves with salt and cabbage.
- Slowly add water to this,to make a gel like consistency .
- Deep fry them in hot oil,make sure that they are cooked from inside well,this takes a little longer than usual fritters.
- Green chutney would go well with these,but any ways plain ones are a delicacay.
