Who doesn't love pop corn?.My kids love pop corn and me too.I have always used store bought pop corn.Making at home might get you making popcorn very economical, minus the preservatives used in store bought pop corn, lesser number of unpopped corn kernels and you can customize your taste choices too.
The only negative thing that I have observed by popping corn on stove top is the salt I used didn't get mixed up evenly through out of all the popped corn.Instead of using any popping corn spices I have used only black pepper.
Ingredients,
Popping corn - 1/2 cup
Black pepper- 1/4 teaspoon
Salt- 1/2 teaspoon
Olive oil - 2 tablespoons.
Take 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pot(I used 2.5 lt pot).I mean really large it seems too big for 1/2 a cup of corn but you are going to really need this big.Put the stove on medium flame.Add salt and black pepper.
Put the stove on low heat. Now add the popping corn kernels (1/2 cup).
Cover the pot with a lid.
Wait until all the corn kernels are popped.
After they are popped pour them over to a bowl so as to not to burn them if they are still in the hot pot.

(Stainless steel pot works better)
Pop corn starts to pop and rise up to the lid.
