Toor daal (pigeon peas)- 3/4 cup
Moong daal ( green gram) - 1/4 cup
Chana daal ( split bengal gram) - 2 tbsps
coriander- 1/2 cup ( chopped)
Dil leaves- 1/2 cup (chopped)
Green chillies-6 to 7 ( finely chopped)
salt - 1 tbsp. ( add more if you like to)
- Soak the three dals for 2 hours and grind them coarsely with very little or no water at all.
- Add chopped green chillies,coriander leaves,Dil leaves and salt.
- Add onions if you prefer,i didn't add any.
- Take a fistful of the mix and roll it into small log shapes.
- Grease the Idli plates with little coooking oil and then place the lentil mix in them.
- Steam cook them for about 25 minutes.
- Serve them with Coconut chutney.
soaked Dals for about 2 hours.
Coarsely grind them .
Add chopped coriander leaves,Dil leaves and green chillies and salt.
Finally steam them in greased Idli plates for about 25 minutes.
