Coconut Kodubele

I prepared coconut Kodubele this evening ,the aroma of this itself made me crave for it.Coconut Kodubele as the name itself suggests  it is made with coconut.These kodubeles are good when they are eaten fresh .Make a few of them and store them in an airtight jar and can have it for snacks for a few days.

Ingredients for kodubeles,
Rice flour-2 cups
Fresh coconut- 1/4 cup ( grated).I used a few pieces(8 to 10) of fresh coconut .
Cumin seeds- 1 tbsp
Salt-1 1/4 tbsp
Asafoetida-  less than 1/4 tbsp
Oil- 2 tbsp
Coriander - 5 strands
Green chillies-2 to 3.
Oil  for frying


  1. Take  coconut,coriander,green chillies and cumin seeds and grind them in a blender.
  2. Add this to the rice flour.Heat oil and then take a ladle full of heated oil and pour it in the flour.
  3. Add salt and asafoetida to this and kneed it into a dough using water.
  4. Make a log of this dough.Take a small lump (a quarter size)of this and roll it into a small log and then roll it into circles. (see pic below)
  5. Fry them in the heated oil.Place them in an air tight jar.
